Dr. Jim Lenihan, D.C.
Dr. Jim's mission is to bring love, healing, and connection to individuals and the world by giving adjustments and teaching chiropractic principles. Living according to this mission is what drives him to be so passionate about chiropractic and life. It is important that you feel comfortable and can trust the qualifications and expertise of your chiropractor so that you can be fully present in your healing process. Below are some of the factors that have helped Dr. Lenihan become a great chiropractor and leader in his profession.
Dr. Lenihan has a B.A. in History from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He graduated Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College West, San Lorenzo, in 1999. While in school Dr. Jim was President of both the Pediatric Adjusting Club and the F.S.C.O. Dr. Lenihan had one of the largest clinical outpatient practices in the history of the school which was largely based upon referrals and taking care of the faculty. Dr. Lenihan has received postgraduate education and training in Diversified, Gonstead, Network, Biogeometric Integration, Thompson Drop Table, and Activator techniques.
Since 1999, he has been serving at the same location in San Anselmo as Lifeforce Family Chiropractic and in 2019 he successfully transitioned into Lenihan Family Chiropractic, Inc. Over these past years, his practice has grown to serve thousands of people in Marin. Dr. Lenihan has performed over 100,000 adjustments and helped thousands of people reach their fullest health potential. Lenihan Family Chiropractic is an incredible environment. It has grown to be one of the largest practices in Marin because of the great results that we get and the number of referrals that our patients send to the office. Dr. Lenihan gives gentle, specific adjustments using his own blend of techniques, his gentle adjustments are suitable for everyone from newborn babies, pregnant Moms to professional athletes and seniors.
Dr. Lenihan has lectured at adjusting seminars and is sought out by chiropractors and chiropractic students for his expertise. Dr. Jim has been a guest lecturer at Life Chiropractic College West and Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic in South Carolina. He has been part of the teaching staff at The Masterpiece Training Camp in Durango, Colorado and a keynote speaker at The Seattle Philosophy Forum.
Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Jim spending time with his wife (Christine Lenihan) and family of two boys (Hawke and Christian), two girls (Carissa and Charlotte), and two dogs (Bentley and Maple), or out on dawn patrol chasing where the surf is best. (Fun fact: Dr. Jim has been an avid semi-professional surfer since 1977!)
He was born and raised into a large family with six sisters and one brother on the beaches of Los Angeles. Dr. Jim’s Dad and brother are surgeons. He found his professional life mission in serving you as a chiropractor.
